The only things that comes to mind right now when I think of vikings are...the Minnesota Vikings, the movie How to Train a Dragon, and the comic strip of Hägar the Horrible. It was truly very interesting to see that vikings were not actually all that brutal. They did take part in the pillaging and what not, but it wasn't what they lived for. They were actually great explorers who wanted to expand their horizons as much as possible.
It is quite unbelievable how far they managed to travel, and how well they made their vessels using rudimentary technology! I am definitely looking forward to learn a bit more about Norse mythology soon!
